They should promote this movie like this :
From the director of Terminator 3, and Screenwriters of Catwoman, comes the latest movie of producer of Beverly Hills Chihuahua with Randha Mitchell - star of Melinda and Melinda and Bruce Willis with bleached hair ..... Surrogates !!!! Could be good, but as you can see above...

Just watched this and don't really get the 39% rating on RT. I was entertained and never bored with what was going on. It looked great, the actors were great, and the story was good. And the music was good.

Not a bad movie,actually......long on action, short on plot, which isnt always a bad thing.Watching all those surrogates die was an amazing bit of choreography.
I always like Bruce Willis action movies. He is aged but he's still doing it

This is another horrible comic book adaptation that doesn't even try to be original. The action scenes were boring me AND Bruce Willis.

Although this movie was highly entertaining, I had know idea of what it was about.Bruce Willis does a great job as the film's lead. There is something missing from this film.I know what it is,it's a plot.I would still reccommend this film even though it has a poorly developed plot because it does manage to entertain you.

When i saw the first trailer i didn't know what to think, then I saw it and it's a great way to get a SCI-FI fix.

I wanted to like this movie, but I just didn't buy in to the whole "surrogate" premise. I doubt the whole world would stay in bed just to watch robots live their lives for them.

It could have worked if this movie could have been a little more mindblowing and "Matrix-y," rather than just another action movie. It had all the potential and a great cast to do just that.

    It just didn't.

Surrogates takes place in a futuristic world where people can live the lives they want to, in the safe and relax environment of there own home. Bruce Willis stars in this Sci-Fi Action flick that seems like it was custom made for him. This movie gives Willis the chance to be in an action movie looking the age that most action stars do. This film has some really nice stuff, cool action sequences, nifty robots, and the traditional philosophical ideas. The problem a the movie doesnt lie with what the movie has , it lies with what the film doesn't have, and that's the ability to expand upon all these areas that made this film what it ended up being. Surrogates is a much sorter movie than it should have been, a movie like this deserved to have its ideas built on instead of settling for a flat, one-layer thought. There even that many action scenes in this movie, but when there are they really shine through. One scene I particularly liked is when Agent Tomas Greer (Willis) runs his way and flies into a field of anti-surrogate protesters on helicopter, It makes for an exciting example of the life lived through the safety of a surrogate.
Bruce Willis brings the movie up by playing the same guy he usually does, and thats a hard-to-the-core action hero. Agent Greer senses corruption in these machines and urges his wife to spot using them, but this world that director, Jonathan Mostow, has created is addicted to this escape from real world life. That's about as complex as the movie gets. Ving Rhames also gives an appearance (marking the official Pulp Fiction reunion for him and Willis) and his character does not get wasted. The only character I do feel was wasted was Greer's wife (played by Rosamund Pike) who causes more problems then solutions, and who's character could have been completely dropped from this picture and it would have made no difference in the story (except maybe a total 15 minutes of running time).
Despite its obvious flaws, the movie does have an act of keeping you entertained. I mean, how can you look away from a screen with robots, energetic action, and Bruce Willis. Not very memorable but gives a fun Sci-Fi adventure in the moment, Surrogates delivers what it promises but it ends with a sort of feeling like it could have been so much more, and it should have been.

Looks great, Bruce Willis is a strong lead, good action even if there is little of it and a great concept however it doesn't deliver as well as it could of but it is enjoyable.
