Lighten up people,Turistas stands from most horror today because it could have been really gory but they didnt do that which makes it better and more scarier.

If you could predict who was going to survive in the end(which I did), then there is no reason to watch this movie.

My biggest gripe with this movie is that I was unable to pay attention to any of it the three times that I watched it. Why you ask, because it's unbelievably boring. The plot has something to do with organ harvesting, but that doesn't really matter, because the actors are so terrible at delivering their lines that you actually want them all dead by the end of the film so that they'll shut up. Turistas has blood and gore, but you'll have a hard time seeing it, because the action camerawork is dreadfully sporadic. There really isn't anything about this film that makes it worth watching. If you're into torture flicks, watch Saw or Wolf Creek instead.

I thought this movie was well done, with a lot of little details and moments within the movie that added well to its texture. I'm wondering why more people didn't like it. If you want the half dressed pretty girls getting chased, there is not enough of it. If you want more blood and guts, there is not quite all that. But there is too much of the previous two to call it a pure suspense movie either.

With a lot of attention to detail, and a lot of surprises, I thought it was well done.

The movie has promise up until the middle where it feels kinda misguided but it's a decent flick. With good frightening scences.

Tagline - There Are Some Places Tourists Should Never Go

    Website - www.touristmovie.com

After a bus crash, a group of tourists travelling through Brazil head down to a beach. This "paradise" soon turns bad, when they wake up on the beach with all their valuables taken. They are then lead by a local on a 12hr hiking trip to a house after the other locals get rowdy with them. When their leader is hurt, they travel to this isolated house and wait, and when the owner arrives, they would have never expected him to be part of the black market, taking organs for his country.

Energetic. The film begins with a preview of what's to come, and after that some brazillian song plays (while the opening credits are rolling), and is bright, colourful, basically what you would expect from a teen-comedy that centres on a cruise ship, but after the credits we get to know the characters a little, just by viewing them on a speeding bus. When the bus crashes, we get to know each character better, and they themselves seem like the typical tourists just looking for a good time. The film takes a long while finally getting into the black market side, even though it sometimes switched between the head surgeon and his going-abouts. It did think the downfall was the good hour it took to get into the film, but when it finally did happen, it was predictable, but still criinge-worthy and watchable. The ending was really predictable, anyone could've guessed it a mile away, and some of the death scenes were well worth the wait.

The premise is intriuging, but the plot itself was too absorbed in getting to know the characters, rather than getting into what made the viewer sit and watch the film for. There were no twists, which is refreshing, but it needed one badly, because we knew 5 minutes before what was going to happen.

The acting was definately one of the highlights. The whole cast provides the audiences with brilliants at many scenarios. "Josh Duhamel", who's character was abit of a douche, gave the film the security, while "Melissa George" gave us the mysterious girl next door character.

Overall "Turistas" is a good film, but takes too long to get into the action, and doesn't have any twists, which makes it predictable. My rating is 3/5.

Undoubtedly, one of the worst movies ever made. Almost all of the acting was atrocious. The movie really failed to deliver, even though it had a pretty promising plot. There was none action whatsoever and it didn't even look like a horror movie except for one or two scenes. It also lacked character development.
Overall, the whole movie was an utter disappointment.

not that good of a movie... Never predictable and the main villian wants to harvest "organs" I mean come on.... The women look decent in this movie, but just go look at a playboy magazine or sports illustrated swimsuit addition... The characters are so clique and the plot is predictable... The gore is alright (just like hostel) and the setting is alright (Brazil),but the Brazil is really not that evil.... One cool scene is the cutting open of a woman... The first hour of this film is not even scary and just talking and a bore.... only see this movie if u want to waste some time because it is so clique of other horrors its ridiculous... Example:character development, killing of characters, etc...

Turistas is not great, but fun to relax and get a little frightened at here and there along with its beautiful scenery and cinematography. The movie has some scenes that shoot out at you, but the overall movie is not incredible with some bad acting and a predictable plot. The story is fun and interesting because the new scare presented, being a tourist and it going all wrong. There are unique things in Turistas that are not seen in many scary movies that I enjoyed. If you plan on visiting Brazil, this could scare you into never going there in your lifetime. Overall, the movie is not great and is hard to reccomend, but if you are in the mood for just a couple of scares, some eye candy, and great scenery, you will enjoy Turistas.
